The Hayward Swimpure chlorine generator produces and introduces chlorine into your swimming pool water automatically. A chlorine generator electronically produces the required chlorine from ordinary table salt, which is directly dissolved in the swimming pool water. When the chlorine has oxidized bacteria and algae, it reverts back into salt and repeats the process as required. The amount of table salt required to be dissolved is minimal and will not affect the taste of the water. Review Of Operation :
Before purchasing any chlorine generator equipment, make sure of the swimming pool capacity for the exact requirement is in the range of the equipment being bought. Salt should be added slowly into the pool, using only approved type of salt. It is recommended to start with an estimated 50% amount of salt and test for the chlorine level and make adjustments from there. During hot temperatures it is ideal to raise the "Desired Output %", and lower this during colder temperatures. This will take some time to learn but will be easily operated once you get it operational. The ideal level of salt would be between 2700 to 3400 ppm and a free chlorine of 1.0 to 3.0 ppm the ph should be 7.2 to 7.8.
